In 1944 he was enlisted in a forced labor unit but after about a month he was released and worked in a factory. Eliezer joined the underground and helped free Jews from forced labor camps mainly in the Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r area to where he traveled three times.
