Yitzhak Herbst (Mimish) helped her integrate the movement and its underground activities. Following the German occupation of Hungary on 19.3.1944, Erzsi acted as a liaison officer for the members in the underground, supplying them with documents and instructions. For a certain period of time, Erzsi and two other young women kept safe six suitcases containing equipment for the underground laboratory which produced forged documents.
