Nusi worked in the office of the \u201cKeren Kayemet\u201d on Kir\u00e1ly Street where she met members of the Hungarian \u201cHashomer Hatzair\u201d movement: Rafi Benshalom, Dan Zimmerman and Moshe Alpan. Under their influence Nusi joined the movement. She was an underground activist under the fictitious name of Varga Ilona. Nusi obtained Hungarian documents. She worked in a large workshop producing rubber seals. She stole seals and other materials for the forgery of documents and gave them to Dan Zimmerman. Nusi made aliya in 1944 via Romania within the framework of the tiyul.
