Together with some comrades he did agricultural work in a village until they were forced to run away as they were suspected of being Jews. Baruh returned to Budapest and took care of his paralyzed mother. His father was enlisted in a forced labor unit.<br \/>\nIn the summer of 1944 Baruh started working for the underground. He maintained contact with comrades who were serving in various forced labor camps all over Hungary, brought them money and documents so that they could escape.<br \/>\nAfter the liberation he joined his father who had emigrated to France. In the mid 50\u2019s Baruh returned to Hungary.
