After the Germans invaded Hungary (19.3.1944) she moved to a hiding place in the district of Zugl\u00f3, from which she distributed forged Aryan papers.<br \/>\nThat hiding place was discovered. Sigfrid Roth and Leon Blatt, the leaders of Hanoar Hatzioni were in charge of that underground activity. Vera and her comerades were taken by the Gestapo to Sv\u00e1bhegy for interrogation. Vera was deported to Auschwitz and from there to other concentration camps, but survived. Upon her return to Hungary, she restored her life and studied in a Budapest university philosophy and psychology.
