He escaped twice when the unit was about to march across the German border. He decided to follow the Jews who were forced to go on the Death March. Aharon received documents of the International Red Cross from Bumi and Kl\u00e1ra Elfer (Karni), members of \u201cHashomer Hatzair\u201d, who operated in the \u201cGlass House\u201d. On 15.11.1944 he set off on foot and on random lifts towards the border. He was arrested many times by the Hungarian gendarmes as well as German and Hungarian soldiers but managed to get free and to continue his journey. He obtained information about the necessary documents for the rescue of the Jews. He decided to return to Budapest in order to give this information to his comrades. He was identified by Hungarian soldiers as a Jew but he managed to escape and arrive in Budapest. As he got off the train he was arrested but again succeeded in getting free. He arrived in the \u201cGlass House\u201d and gave the information to Alexander Grossman who used it for further rescue operations.<br \/>\nAharon made aliya.
