From April to July 1944 Miriam was detained in the Kistarcsa camp near Budapest. Thanks to her knowledge of German, she worked in the camp office. She forged the documents of 80 Jewish men and wrote that they had not yet reached the age of sixteen. Thanks to this forgery they were released and arrived in Budapest. The forgery was discovered and Miriam was interrogated.
