She engaged in obtaining authentic Aryan documents from the offices of the Population Registry in Budapest. She maintained contact with members of the movement who were serving in forced labor units, helped them escape and reach Budapest. Under a false name M\u00e1rta and one of her friends succeeded in finding accommodation in a girls\u2019 hostel belonging to the fascist Arrow Cross Party and to steal documents and forms from there. As their real identity was discovered, M\u00e1rta and her friend escaped to the \u201cGlass House\u201d where they stayed until the liberation of the city. M\u00e1rta moved to Romania where she married Gabby R\u00e9v\u00e9sz. She returned to Hungary with her husband and tried to cross the border again but this time into Yugoslavia. In Yugoslavia M\u00e1rta was caught by the police but managed to get free and arrive in Italy where she gave birth to her son. She returned to Hungary with her husband to complete her studies. Marta made aliya in 1956.
