She operated in the underground by the side of her husband Peretz, one of the leaders of the Zionist underground. Noemi moved to Budapest with him and they arrived at the house of Hansi and Joel Brand. Noemi operated with forged documents and showed much wisdom. She frequently faced danger. She worked in Budapest as a children\u2019s nanny and also took care of Hansi and Joel\u2019s children, Miki and Danny. In June 1944, after being followed, she was almost arrested but managed to convince the detective to let her go. After the liberation she continued her diverse activities.<br \/>\nOn 26.5.1949 Noemi made aliya with Peretz and their two children.
