Avraham joined the movement in 1938. He learned to be a tailor. In 1941 he moved to Budapest and was an instructor in the hostel for apprentices on Z\u00f6ldm\u00e1li Street where he helped Dan Zimmerman to forge documents. After the Germans invaded Hungary on 19.3.1944, Avraham moved to Bratislava, Slovakia (re-tiyul). He made contact with Egon Roth, the leader of underground “Hashomer Hatzair”. Avraham took part in the Slovak uprising and left for Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica. He fought in various places. In Bukovec he served in a unit under the command of Bielov, the Russian. The fighters passed through the Carpatho-Ruthenia region villages where hiding Jews joined them and eventually the unit counted 70 people. They collected information about the Germans and were sent to blow up railroad tracks and an ammunition factory. Bunyu was the commander of a patrol. At the end of the war Avraham returned to Budapest (1..4.1945) and was one of the\u00a0 founders of the Ehad BeMay garin. He made aliya in 1945 on the \u201cKnesset Israel\u201d ship. Avraham was among the settlers of Kibbutz Ga\u2019aton.
