She was active in &#8220;Mizrahi&#8221; from an early age. Shoshanna was among the principal assistants to refugees arriving to Budapest from Poland. Her house was open to them and she got the nickname of \u2018the good heart\u2019. Endangering her own life, Shoshanna worked hard for the refugees in the Hungarian government offices. After the liberation (1945) she was the leader of the \u201cMizrahi\u201d women and the chairwoman at the first national congress in 1947.<br \/>\nIn 1948 Shoshanna made aliya and continued with her public work. Her son, Yitzhak, fell in the Negev during the War of Independence.
