At the time of the German invasion she was living in Budapest with her family. She studied at a business school and trained in typing and stenography. She printed papers and documents and often worked around the clock to meet the demand. On 26.6.1944 Judith was caught with her sister and taken to the Gestapo headquarters on Schwabs Hill. She was interrogated for two weeks. For some days she was incarcerated with Hanna Szenes. Judith was transferred to Kistarcsa and eventually she and her sister were released with the help of the International Red Cross because they were minors. Judith worked in one of the children\u2019s houses established by her movement. For a while she stayed in a bunker and transferred weapons. Judith and her sister applied to the post office in the capital and were hired. The uniform and authentic documents made it possible for Judith to walk around freely, work in the Protected Houses, children\u2019s houses, ghetto and\u00a0 bunkers. She collected wandering homeless Jewish children and took them to the children\u2019s houses.
