David\u2019s father was the chairman of the Hungarian Zionist Association. After the Germans invaded Hungary, he was enlisted in a forced labor unit and served in Miskolc. He deserted and arrived in the \u201cGlass House\u201d\u00a0in Budapest. He was Simha Hunwald\u2019s assistant. David distributed protection documents of the Swiss consulate. When the Arrow Cross men raided the \u201cGlass House\u201d, he hid in one of the rooms, made contact by telephone with the outside world and succeeded in asking for help from Swiss agents and other people. After the liberation, within the framework of his father\u2019s metal factory, he worked for the reconstruction of the Danube bridges that were destroyed during the war. David made aliya in June 1949. He worked in several factories and in the Air Force Industry.
