A halutzok els\u0151 csoportja m\u00e9g az illeg\u00e1lis Alija tev\u00e9kenys\u00e9g r\u00e9szek\u00e9nt el is ment Eretz Izraelbe. A mozgalom vezet\u0151s\u00e9g\u00e9ben olyan tagok is voltak, akik szlov\u00e1k menek\u00fcltk\u00e9nt \u00e9rkeztek Magyarorsz\u00e1gra. A Maccabi Hatzair akt\u00edv szerepet j\u00e1tszott a ment\u0151akci\u00f3kban \u00e9s a fasiszta rendszerrel szembeni ellen\u00e1ll\u00e1sban. A m\u00e1sodik vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa ut\u00e1n a mozgalom r\u00e9szt vett a t\u00fal\u00e9l\u0151k rehabilit\u00e1ci\u00f3j\u00e1ban, fiatalokat k\u00e9sz\u00edtett fel az alij\u00e1z\u00e1sra \u00e9s vitte \u0151ket Izraelbe. Ezen er\u0151fesz\u00edt\u00e9sekhez a mozgalom kiterjedt k\u00e9pz\u00e9si \u00e9s oktat\u00e1si programokat dolgozott ki a tagozataiban \u00e9s a menek\u00fclt gyermekotthonokban. A p\u00e1rt k\u00fclf\u00f6ldi tagozataiban az Ihud (egyes\u00fcl\u00e9s) sz\u00f3val eg\u00e9sz\u00edtett\u00e9k ki a p\u00e1rt nev\u00e9t. A p\u00e1rt ideol\u00f3gi\u00e1ja szoci\u00e1lcionista, f\u0151 alakja \u00e9s vezet\u0151je 1933-ban Dr. D\u00e9nes B\u00e9la orvos, a budapesti zsid\u00f3 k\u00f6z\u00f6ss\u00e9g egyik f\u0151 aktivist\u00e1ja \u00e9s a Cionista Uni\u00f3 vezet\u0151s\u00e9g\u00e9nek tagja volt. Tov\u00e1bbi kulcsfontoss\u00e1g\u00fa aktivist\u00e1k voltak Hillel Danzig \u00fajs\u00e1g\u00edr\u00f3, aki 1939-ben ell\u00e1togatott Eretz Izraelbe, Kiss Katalin, Weiler Ferenc \u00e9s Dr. Beneschofsky Ilona.
