In May 1944 Aharon received mobilization orders for a forced labor unit but succeeded to avoid them and arrived in Budapest. Equipped with forged documents, he took part in underground activities. Four members, one of whom was Aharon, accompanied by Moshe Alpan, took the train to the Romanian border within the framework of the tiyul. Three of them were caught and only Aharon and Moshe Alpan managed to escape. Aharon crossed the border into Romania.
In August 1944 Aharon arrived in Eretz Israel (Palestine). He was a member of Kibbutz Kfar Szold. He later resided in Rehovot.
