In 1937 Shlomo joined “Hehalutz Hatzair” and later “Dror”. In 1939 he was sent by the movement to a hahshara in Budapest. In 1942 he was enlisted in a forced labor unit. In March 1944 Shlomo escaped and returned to Budapest. He was sent by Tzvi Goldfarb to Carpatho-Ruthenia to warn and save Jews. From June 1944 he worked with the tiyul. On one of the trips to the border, Shlomo felt he was being followed and decided not to return to Budapest but to cross the border into Romania. Shlomo made aliya. He is a member of Kibbutz Parod.
