Avri was an instructor in the Budapest ken from 1942. After the Germans invaded Hungary on 19.3.1944, he engaged in finding hiding places. Together with Dan Zimmerman and Yitzhak Herbst-Mimish he forged documents on a large scale and distributed them. He was caught and deported to Auschwitz where he perished.
