Rahel took care of Jewish children who were gathered in children’s houses under the protection of the International Red Cross. She ran various errands such as the delivery of forged documents. About two weeks after the liberation, in February 1945, she left Hungary with her husband Tzvi Keshet to Romania on her way to Eretz Israel (Palestine). She was among the settlers of Tze’elim and moved to Kfar Hahoresh with the other members of the garin.
