Noemi’s family was from Nagytapolcsány (Topoľčany) in Slovakia. She operated in the underground by the side of her husband Peretz, one of the leaders of the Zionist underground. Noemi moved to Budapest with him and they arrived at the house of Hansi and Joel Brand. Noemi operated with forged documents and showed much wisdom. She frequently faced danger. She worked in Budapest as a children’s nanny and also took care of Hansi and Joel’s children, Miki and Danny. In June 1944, after being followed, she was almost arrested but managed to convince the detective to let her go. After the liberation she continued her diverse activities.
On 26.5.1949 Noemi made aliya with Peretz and their two children. Noemi is a member of Kibbutz Kfar Hamaccabi.
