Hava joined the movement at the age of fifteen. During the years 1942 and 1943 refugees from Slovakia and Poland stayed at her parents’ home. After the German invasion of Hungary on 19.3.1944, she stayed with her family at a Yellow Star House and kept in touch with the members of the movement.
She joined the underground and distributed forged documents to comrades in the country towns and in the tiyul. After Szálasi came to power on 15.10.1944, Hava stayed at the “Glass House” on Vadász Street and continued to take part in the underground activities.
She made aliya illegally in 1946 on the “Biriya” vessel. Hava is a history teacher with a doctorate degree. She did research on the activities of the Zionist Youth Movements in Hungary. She resides in Ramat Gan.
