In 1942, according to the movement’s decision, Dov moved from Slovakia to Budapest. His and his friends’ mission was to obtain forged documents, find hiding places and obtain food coupons and money for the members of the movement. He was active in smuggling comrades from the movement from Slovakia into Hungary and absorbing them. Dov was caught on one of the bridges across the Danube but managed to escape. He was imprisoned together with Joseph Scheffer and Tzvi Amad in the Garany detention camp.
