Dov was a central figure of “Hapoel Hamizrahi” in Slovakia from the 1930’s. As a representative of the movement Dov was a member of the delegation to the Zionist Congress in Basel held prior to the outbreak of WW II. In 1943, together with his wife Miriam, he moved to Hungary and in Budapest he became a member of the “Bnei Akiva” leadership. He mainly took care of the Jewish refugees arriving from Slovakia. Dov was a member of the Relief and Rescue Committee on behalf of “Bnei Akiva” and as a representative of the refugees. He corresponded with the members of the Eretz-Israel delegation in Istanbul.
Dove made aliya on 7.3.1944. He was active in the institutions of “Hapoel Hamizrahi” and the manager of the Mashhav construction enterprise. He died in Israel.
