Hanna was active in bringing Jewish refugees from Slovakia to Budapest. She provided them with accommodation, basic equipment and money. After the German invasion of Hungary on 19.3.1944, Hanna visited forced labor camps and brought forged documents and money to her comrades from the movement so they could escape. After May 1944 Hanna took part in the tiyul operation and within this framework she escorted groups to Oradea (Nagyvárad). She managed to cross the border and join her husband who was already in Romania and from there too she helped refugees.
Hanna made aliya and joined Kibbutz Metzuba where she is still a member.
